Certified wildlife habitat in Pinecrest (Hernandez)

The brief

Beatrice Hernandez was after a transformation of her Pinecrest garden to attract beautiful wildlife to the area.    

Our solution

This has been an ongoing process for three years now. It started off with beautification in certain areas with an emphasis on native and butterfly attractors. Loads of color and exotic material have been infused to spice things up. There's been some serious renovations recently, as her sapodilla tree in the front fell and crushed the entrance garden. We took care of the cleanup, redesign and installation, and this area has been restored with native palms, butterfly flora, and loads of color. It's extraordinary now and can be seen in the photos. 

Betty's garden receives Garden of the Year status due to the ease of working with her. The plant selection we used is unparalleled, including native palms and trees, exotic and native butterfly flora, and flora to attract hummingbirds too. The garden has lots of different colors, levels, and texture. 

The client's reaction

Betty was super happy with the native tree, bush, and plant infusion we did to encourage local and migrating birds to have a snack and hang out for awhile in this lush habitat. The agave gardens throughout the front make things spicy for her! She's very pleased that I visit the garden monthly to help maintain, fertilize, and check on things.
